OSRS] Ultimate 1-99 Cooking Guide (Fastest/Cheapest/F2P/P2P/more!)

In Old School RuneScape (OSRS), pay-to-play (P2P) members have access to a wide range of cooking methods and ingredients, which allows for faster and more varied cooking experience (XP) rates compared to free-to-play (F2P) cooking. Here are some popular P2P cooking training methods and the associated XP rates:

  1. Cooking Fish: Cooking fish is one of the most common and efficient ways to train cooking in P2P. As you level up, you can cook higher-tier fish, which grant more XP. Here are some examples:

    • Lobsters: Lobsters offer decent XP rates and can be cooked at level 40 Cooking. You can expect around 120 XP per lobster.

    • Monkfish: These are available at level 62 Cooking and grant approximately 150 XP per monkfish.

    • Sharks: Sharks require 80 Cooking to cook and yield about 210 XP per shark.

    • Anglerfish: Accessible at level 84 Cooking, anglerfish provide around 230 XP per fish.

  2. Cooking Karambwan: Cooking Karambwan is a good option for those looking for high XP rates. It requires partial completion of the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest. Karambwans can be cooked starting at level 1 Cooking and provide around 190 XP each. However, this method can be somewhat click-intensive.

  3. Cooking Wines: Members can make and cook wines, such as jugs of wine or jugs of water, for fast Cooking XP. However, you will lose the content of the jug (wine or water) when cooking it, so it's not a practical way to obtain food.

  4. Cooking Kebabs: Kebabs, obtainable in Al Kharid and sold in the Rogue's Den, offer relatively high XP per hour. They require level 1 Cooking to cook and give variable XP, averaging around 80-100 XP per kebab.

  5. Cooking Pies: Members can bake various pies, such as apple pies or summer pies, at lower Cooking levels for moderate XP. These are useful for training Cooking while having access to healing food.

  6. Cooking Gnome Food: Gnome cooking involves preparing dishes like gnome cocktails, which can be an alternative method for training Cooking and Agility simultaneously. The XP rates vary depending on the type of gnome food being prepared.

  7. Cooking on a Range or Cooking Gauntlets: Using a range or the Cooking gauntlets (obtained from the Family Crest quest) can reduce the burn rate of food, allowing for more efficient cooking training.

  8. Cooking Diary Rewards: Completing various achievement diaries in P2P can grant cooking-related perks and XP boosts, making training more efficient.

Remember that XP rates can vary based on your Cooking level and how focused you are during the training process. The above methods should provide a good overview of the options available for P2P cooking training in OSRS.
