I will first list the methods you should use to achieve Level 99 using the conventional method which is finishing bows by adding Bowstrings to them. Below that, you’ll find the recommended route, which incorporates fletching darts and explains the recommended route. The bow methods assume that you’ll be stringing the bows, not creating unfinished bows from logs.

The early levels of Fletching are tedious, and unlike other skills such as Smithing and Farming, there are no quest rewards worthwhile enough to skip the early levels, thus you’ll just have to grin and bear it.

Level 1 - 10: Arrow Shafts 

To achieve Level 10, you’ll need 1,154 XP from Arrow Shafts. This is done by using a knife on a log and choosing to create Arrow Shafts.

Level 10 - 20: Longbows 

You can now make basic longbows which give 10 experience for fletching or stringing them.

Level 20 - 25: Oak Shortbows 

You can now make Oak Shortbows which give 16.5 experience for fletching or stringing them. 

Level 25 - 35: Oak Longbows 

You can now make Oak Longbows which give 25 experience for fletching or stringing them.

Level 35 - 40: Willow Shortbows 

You can now make Willow Shortbows which give 33.3 experience for fletching or stringing them. 

Level 40 - 50: Willow Longbows 

You can now make Willow Longbows which give 41.5 experience for fletching or stringing them. 

Level 50 - 55: Maple Shortbows 

You can now make Maple Shortbows which give 50 experience for fletching or stringing them.

Level 55 - 65: Maple Longbows 

You can now make Maple Longbows which give 58.2 experience for fletching or stringing them.

Level 65 - 70: Yew Shortbows 

You can now make Yew Shortbows which give 67.5 experience for fletching or stringing them. 

Level 70 - 80: Yew Longbows 

You can now make Yew Longbows which give 75 experience for fletching or stringing them. 

Level 80 - 85: Magic Shortbows 

You can now make Magic Shortbows which give 83.3 experience for fletching or stringing them. 

Level 85 - 99: Magic Longbows 

You can now make Magic Longbows which give 91.5 experience for fletching or stringing them.

52-67 Fletch mithril darts

This is the meta way to level up quickly

67-99 Fletch Adamant Darts

To finish up this grind you will do Adamant darts but you can only make darts after Tourist Trap. XP rates in excess of 1M per hour is to be expected for this method, which is insane and would allow you to achieve Level 99 in approximately 12 hours. ( HIGHLY RECOMENDED)

The argument for ‘reasons to level fletching’ is probably one of the most limited in the game. There really isn’t much reason to level this skill aside from the generic reasons that apply to every skill - that is, for extra XP and total levels, and to unlock additional content in the game such as through Quests and Achievement Diaries.

Aside from content unlocks, a good reason to level Fletching is due to the unconventionally high XP rates achievable by using methods such as fletching darts. These methods will be discussed in greater detail later in the guide, however it is worth noting that XP yields in excess of over 1M per hour are not uncommon, and considered the standard when training Fletching. This makes it the fastest skill in the game to train (if you can handle the rate of clicking required), which to some players would act as a great incentive to train it.

Infact the fastest 99 in osrs is Fletching which was done in 3 hours and 9 minutes to get from 1-99 Fletching.
